Donna is LegalEdge’s CEO, on a mission to bring affordable in-house legal services to all tech and media scale-ups.

During her career in-house for various tech companies, Donna effectively led in-house legal teams in partnering with the business to achieve its goals, whether entering into new markets, attracting new talent or investment or launching new products/services. She saw how important it was to provide commercial, practical advice in high-growth, fast-paced business environments. She also recognised that SMEs did not have access to this type of legal support but would really benefit from a flexible, practical and affordable legal solution.

So, in 2009 she created one of the first ‘new law’ businesses – providing ‘in-house’ legal services in a flexible way to fast growing SMEs. Today she leads a team of talented in-house lawyers, who manage legal for our tech and media clients and who she describes as ‘lawyers who get deals done’. She believes that effective legal support should deliver ROI and make it easier to do business, not harder.

Useful to know:

Donna loves the outdoors and when not working, can be found on a long run, in the gym or, when possible, on the slopes. She also loves travelling and spending time where she grew up, in California.

Worked with:

Donna spent 20 years leading legal teams for global tech organisations like Palm, Microsoft, Visio and Onyx Software. Prior to that, she also worked in the City, for international law firm, Eversheds and also in the US, for the law firm Hutcheson & Grundy. She is dual qualified in the US and UK.
