As a commercially focused business partner, Rustam is passionate about working with scaling tech, media and entertainment companies across EMEA and the US, helping them set up an efficient legal function and close deals quicker. As an experienced in-house lawyer, he has a huge amount of experience managing and negotiating enterprise software licences, including on-prem, private cloud and public cloud software licensing deals, as well as outsourcing and supply chain deals.

Away from tech, Rustam also has experience with supply chain agreements and assisting procurement departments understand risk. He’s also focussed on helping companies understand GDPR and their data privacy requirements and provides low-impact compliance strategies. Rustam is experienced in working with diverse cultures, including in Germany, Holland, Dubai, India and the US .

Rustam has an international background, being a German citizen of Indian background and worked for US, Japanese, German and Scottish companies. He’s fluent in German. He appeared on a local US news channel in 1990 (whilst studying in the US), to offer commentary on the German reunification and the fall of the Wall.
